The stadium's history began when the Fort Lauderdale Strikers moved out of Lockhart Stadium in 2016, leaving it in disrepair. In January 2019, Inter Miami CF announced plans to pursue the Lockhart Stadium site for training grounds and a USL League One team. The Fort Lauderdale city council unanimously approved the bid in March 2019, and demolition began in April. On July 9, 2019, a 50-year lease was approved, with the city retaining ownership while Inter Miami handled construction and maintenance. The first match played was a 0–2 loss by Fort Lauderdale CF to Greenville Triumph SC, as Inter Miami's inaugural home match against the LA Galaxy on March 14, 2020, was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Inter Miami finally played their first home match on August 22, 2020, beating Orlando City SC 3–2. On April 9, 2021, the stadium was branded DRV PNK Stadium through a naming rights agreement with AutoNation, tied to their breast cancer awareness campaign. On February 20, 2024, a new naming rights deal with JPMorgan Chase renamed it Chase Stadium. Following the 2025 season, the stadium reverted to its original name, Inter Miami CF Stadium.

The 21,550-seat Inter Miami CF Stadium (formerly DRV PNK Stadium and Chase Stadium) sits on the site of the former Lockhart Stadium and serves as the home pitch of MLS Next Pro side Inter Miami CF II. The stadium opened in 2020 as an interim venue for Inter Miami CF until the completion of Nu Stadium in 2026. The facility also serves as the primary headquarters for the team and its youth academy, in addition to further training grounds. The stadium is located near Interstate 95 at its junction with Commercial Boulevard (State Route 870) in Fort Lauderdale. It has three designated parking lots for pre-purchased ticketholders and an additional lot for other visitors. The nearest Tri-Rail commuter rail station is Cypress Creek, but additional nighttime train service is not provided for Inter Miami CF matches. In April 2022, Inter Miami CF announced a partnership with Brightline to provide passenger trains from Miami and West Palm Beach to Fort Lauderdale station with a dedicated shuttle for fans, named the GOOOL Getter, with three round-trips before and after home matches.
